Bye-bye Perth ! again

Only for the weekend though !

e.x.c.i.t.e.d

momski and popski are on their way to Sydney now (read: transiting at Changi airport and eating good food and shopping spree) !

my little baby sister is now an official bachelor of classical music. I must tell my mind that she is NOT that little anymore and arrgh that is a difficult thing to do actually.

as I promised.

After Yosi's final recital, we (mum and I) did her make up and hair in less than 15 mins, massive hair spray and bobby pins involved ;p and tarraaa she turned to a lady like as she's always been a tomboy

This is the railway on Blue Mountain and apparently it's the steepest railway in the world. It was fun riding it thou it only took less than 3 mins to go down and up again. teehee

The whole family with Three Sisters scenery :)

After Yosi's final recital, all were smiling and relieved that it was over.

Happy mommy day !

- A mother is she who can do other's roles but not anyone can take her place-

My mother is not the type of a high class mum, who's always up-to-date with the latest fashion style or latest hair style, she rarely buys expensive goods for herself and she doesn't own a luxury branded handbag. She is obviously not a mall mum, I can count how many times she goes to a mall in a month by my fingers. She doesn't own a master degree, she can't speak many languages, she's not a business woman, she is just a full time mum. Her office is the kitchen, the living room, and the bedrooms, she can be an accountant, a director, a cook, a secretary, an admin, a PR, a marketing, a pharmacist, and even a plumber in her office. She works 24 hours 7 days and it is an unpaid work, and she's working like that for at least 22 years without complaining at all. She wakes up earlier than anybody at home to cook and she's the last person to go to bed. She gave up her career so that she can spend her time with us at home, so she could give her full affection to us, so she's always with us every lunch time. Those little simple things make me so proud of her cos I know no one could ever take her place.

You know I love you mom.

an instant noodle and an egg for my christmas dinner

Hey! It's my first time celebrating Christmas without mommy and daddy and I'm doing well.

Oh well, I missed the best part of pre-Christmas at my home, opening all the parcels and tasting all the cakes and ice creams that actually were sent to my dad. I missed my parish mass, where my sis usually plays her violin. I missed my mom's cook. I missed my big family gathering. I didn't get my intangible Christmas present. but yeah, I am proudly say that I'm fine here.

I had an instant noodle and an egg for my dinner before going to the Indonesian mass at 19.30 at St Brigid's parish. and I'm not complaining at all 'cause those were my comfort food. I had a crazy stupid car bumping to my car on my way to the church ! but my car has no
scratches at all. Thank God. The mass went smooth. Our choir sang loudly. The mass ended then the next thing I remember was shaking everyone's hand on the church, wishing them having a happy Christmas.

Me and my friends had supper at Saigon restaurant *considering we were at Northbridge at that time and had no other choice than Chinese food or Vietnamese*. We had bubble tea ( which made my Christmas so perfect. Bubble tea after the Xmas mass? great !). We threw some stupid jokes while eating. We laughed. We were happy.

Simple and bonding. We are having our small family here. Thank God for the community.

Having another Indonesian mass tomorrow at St Benedict 11.30 am. as usual. We'll be singing again. BBQ afterwards.

PS: Right now I'm listening to the St Joachim's ( Perth's pro Cathedral which is located next to my house) choir singing Xmas songs. It's just terrific. As if I hired a choir to sing while I was sleeping.

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas day as I have. May this Christmas brings you joy and happines always.

SYO Concert: The Elements Review

The concert was held here, at 8 pm exactly and there were 3 sessions,
the first one was percussion instruments,
the second was wind instruments, and
finally the string instruments.
(too bad I could not take any photographs or record any videos )

(Found her name ? )

I found it very interesting, since I've been to most of SSO (Surabaya Symphony Orchestra) concerts,
they played almost 20 (heavy) classical pieces for every concerts
and Yosi told me that most of the concerts she attended were only playing like 7-9 pieces.
One more interesting thing, without any notice or an MC, one the light turned off,
the audiences just stopped talking and no camera flashing !
but it went very well and no MCs ! that's brilliant !
( I'm sorry that was my first time I went to a concert without an MC,
there was even an MC
when I went to a Christmas concert at the Opera House a few years ago )

The best session for me ? the wind instruments session,
I just never had in my mind that they could actually make such beautiful rhymes !

SYO next project would be the WORLD YOUTH DAY mass
on SATURDAY VIGIL MASS (19 July 2008 )
and I can't be there !!! waaaaaaaaaaaaa
I miss this WYD thingy !
damn stupid expired visa,
'cos I've got to go back to perth
ASAP when I get my exam results
and apply for my TR visa !

so make sure, you all come to WYD Vigil Mass to see my baby playing hehehehe

Josephine turns 19 today !

anyway, she's still my baby

" ceeee... carane ngirim dokumen n bli prangko di post office yak apa? "
( a call from Sydney to Perth, in the middle of the day)
see ?

when east meets west.

Oh yeah, I'm in Sydney and finally meet my baby Josephine ...
ehm .. Sydney? still crowded as usual, nothing changed since my last time I went here (5 months ago haha)

Yosi?
Ouw she's changed a lot. She eats pasta and cheese now,
she knows the train routes and recognizing where to stop and which direction to go !
she relied on me 100% when she was in Perth so yeah, I am SURPRISED.
Anyway, If you're in Sydney, feel free to come at SYO Concert on this saturday.
My baby will be playing her viola there.
For more information click here.

Yosi & me sipping our hot chocolate at Max Brenner
( I'm still in love with KOKO BLACK thou .. )

Winda & Wendy (surprisingly we got similar name) at City.
* That was Yosi's viola as my accessory haha*

Too fat to model? absolutely ! hahaha
This freaking city scares me enough since it got so many VERY CHEAP jackets and coats.
How can I resist not to buy those?
