Gimana liburan ? seneng ga? seneeeng kook hehe.

SIngapore. Menyenangkan as usual dan murah, mana disaat kita kesana A$ lumayan tinggi jadi lumayan berasa "agak" jadi orang kaya. Makanan cuman less than s$6 per meal, jadi kalo makan mahal menurut orang Singapore kayak s$20an gitu menurut kita muraah banget secara disini makan A$10 aja udah murah hahaha. Tapi tapi tapi ga berapa belanja sih, abisan udah napsu menggebu pokoknya mo belanja di sono. Lah kok sampe sana, puter2 kiri kanan ga ada yang menarik yak, menarik sih menarik kalo di pake di Indo/ Spore tapi dibawa pulang sini kok nanti jadinya norak trus abis gni winter rugi juga bli baju summer. jadinya bener2 loh cuman bli beberapa brg tok itupun ada yg bli di Cotton On karna udah ngincer dari sini ( secara harga nya sama tapi disono pake dollar Sing, ya wes pasti lbh murah yah to yah to?)

Surabaya. As usual jugak, makanannya surga, dirumah kayak ratu, bangun tidur ada makanan, pergi kemanapun nyemil jalan terus. Plus lebih murah lagi lah kursnya di Indonesia. Asik yah makanan di Indo, gurame goreng, bakar, asem manis, dll dll dll. Hasilnya naek beberapa kilo dalam waktu satu minggu. Ngoook. tapi langsung turun lagi sih begitu balik sini. kasian perutku dikasi makan enak2 eh sampe sini balik lagi kurang gizi dah.

Habis liburan, langsung tancep non stop kerjaan dari icyo lah, kerja juga bagaikan tsunami menghadang hidupku ga pake napas.

Kita kampungan banget tiap hari menghitung hari haha dan norak semua pasti pengen dibeli tapi seneng A$ parity terus sama US$ hihihihi ga terlalu guilty kalo belanja banyak *evil laugh* apalagi di Singapore makanannya super murah semoga engga gendut lah

Saya merasa blog ini tambah suram, maka dari itu saya berjanji tidak akan menyuramkan kehidupan anda lagi dgn suramnya blog ini.

Dimulai dari minggu ini, yang notabene ada minggu valentine.

Kita? engga ngapa2en intinya.

Hari senin yang disebut-sebut orang sebagai Valentine's day, Mr J kerja dong tetep, saya day off tapi jalan2 sendiri sama temen yg dateng dr indo. Malemnya choir tetep jalan, just another day for us.

Sisa hari2 berikutnya seperti biasa saja.

Eh, Rabu sempet dating sih, niatnya mau nyobain spaghi restaurant tapi antrenya panjang jadinya pindah ke sebastian's deh di victoria park (huhuhu bolak balik bentley - applex - vic park), makanannya average banget deh mahal pulak. Abis itu nonton No string's attached, dan film ini jugak rada ga di recommend abisan standard banget bahkan Mr J tidur ditengah2 filem haha.

Okeh, makanan di bawah ini adalah menu hari Jumat kemarin yang dihabiskan saja di rumah. Yeah homemade chicken cordon bleu with vegies and chips and cheese sauce, turned out to be superb ! (YEAY !)

Lalu hari ini, kita nge date lagi dong, ga perlu valentine kita udah pasti ngedate terus hahaha. So, dinner kali ini we tried The Quarter on Hay, got a $50 coupon from Scoopon for 3 course dinner for 2 with tasting plate as entree, main with side, dessert and wine. I know, what a bargain. We quite liked the ambience here, thats why we decided to try it.

Turned out the food was really bad and poor service. Firstly, the tasting plate was cucumber puree and smoked salmon soup, beetroot with goat cheese and candied walnuts and crab balls ( 2 out of 10 ). The main menu was served 1 hour later, but they gave our mains for a couple sitting next to us and just gave the plates straight to us without any apologies (the couple already messed up the food, fyi) and same thing happened with our side dish and our mains tasted way below average, I mean, I can cook better than that. The dessert were also average ( I mean, supermarket quality). Oh well, at least we tried it so we know we wont return there again.

After all, togetherness is what matters to us.

Semua akan indah pada waktunya.

Belum, dunia saya belum seindah yang kalian bayangkan, tapi at least satu halangan besar di hidup saya sudah hilang.

Manajer saya yang engga bisa apa apa itu (baca: maen fesbuk all the time, leyeh-leyeh di sofa dan telponan sama temennya) sudah pergi, lebih tepatnya lagi I sacked my manager. Karna saya sudah ga tahan sama kelakuan dia, curhatlah saya sama director company ini (baca: bos gede yang punya company ini seluruh aussie) kayak sok deket aja hehehe emang deket kok sama bos ini. Eh trus, besokannya state manager dateng sambil ngepalin tangannya, dia bilang, KOK BARU BILANG SEKARANG ! trus yah saya bales, lah khan situ yang nge hire dia, harusnya dia qualify dong buat jadi manager and I thought you liked him. Dia jawab khan selama ini beres2 aja, langsung saya sambet YAH IYALAH WONG AKU YANG KERJA SEMUA sambil ngasi bukti2 yang ada dan ngasi sales report dia yang cuman SATU ! Masi inget waktu dia pertama kerja disini, dia sempet liat state sales report terus bilang, wah jadi selama ini kamu no 1 ya di state ini, tapi itu ga bakal lama sih, I"LL BEAT YOUR SALES ! hahahahaha wong dia cuman satu selama ini, saya yah begitu2 aja.

Besokannya di pecat deh dia.

Ya udah lah, too bad, siapa suruh dia begitu.

Baru inget juga selama ini saya pernah menyaksikan 3x orang dipecat langsung, yang pertama manajer lama di cafe tempat aku kerja dulu, karna ya tipe2nya sama males gitu. Yang kedua, sales consultant di company yang dulu, dia ngakunya experience udah banyak tapi malesnya bukan maen. Yang ketiga ya manajer dudul tong kosong nyaring bunyinya itu.

Si bapak akhirnya terbuka juga matanya siapa yang paling beres diantara staff2nya, ya kita ini orang asia. Kerjain semuanya tanpa komplen, langsung beres tanpa ba bi bu, ga banyak minta macem-macem tapi one shot semua jadi.

Time slips

Karna hr ini pulang kerja pagian (halah pdhl jam 4 juga plgnya soalnya udah overtime hehehe), pantesnya ngapaen hayo sore gini? Jawabannya adalah tidur siang ! Heehehe dan tiba2 aja nih pas cuci piring n cuci baju sblm beres2 masuk kamar, balik ke jaman tk sd dulu.

Tiap abis plg skola jam 1an deh kayanya khan pastinya lunch dulu sama mama, abis itu pasti disuru tidur tapi kita (sama adek) demennya maen2 loh ga mau disuru bobok tapi ya akhirnya masuk kamar mama juga sih bobok bertiga brg gitu tidurnya melintang sambil ndengerin kasetnya kak ria n susan :D, dan kita ga bisa tidur kalo ga gosok2 tangan n kaki mama :)

Jam stengah 4 sore pasti bangun soalnya ada Tom and Jerry ato Woody Woodpecker di TPI trus lanjut Kring Kring Olala abis itu loncat2 kalo papa pulang kerja dan sisa sore itu diabisin dengan nyamilin camilan yg mama buat tiap sore.

Kok dipikir2 menyenangkan banget yaaaaaa T.T I can't say thank mom and dad enough for giving the best childhood memories, seandainya aku diasuh sama suster pas itu, kira2 bisa ga ya kangen bobok siang sama suster (?)

When one dream dies, dream another dream

2010 was full of ups and downs for me, there are lots of love-hate relationships and bittersweet experiences with my job. I've seen many good-byes and welcomes to old and new friends in my life. It was a mixed experience for me, lots of questions and uncertainty but I realise that the most important things for me now are, I am surrounded by friends and family whom I love all the time and I have things that I need. I thank God for taking care of me that much.

As I always do, there will be a list of highlights of my life for 2010:

1. Went to Sydney twice this year. My weekend gateways.
2. Changed to 2 new work places, err I moved to a completely different occupation on April 2010, then moved to another company in July but still doing the same shit.
3. I live by my own financially, I've been through times where I only had steamed rice and fried eggs or dried anchovies for days to save up. Utility bills and insurance payments are my best enemies.
4. I bought an iPhone 4. I never turn back to any other brands.
5. I moved to a new house and got break in on the first night. A nice way to say hello to neighborhood.
6. I had my first business trip, the first time in my life staying in a hotel ALONE and got all my expenses paid by the company. I mean, all expenses.
7. ICYO. self explanation.
8. I play tennis.
9. I got my Master degree, fast track, and on time :) ~~ geez time flies.
(I still remember 2 years ago, arguing with Curtin student adviser to fast track my study because my visa will expire in 18 months and I didnt want to apply for another student visa, thank God it was a good decision)
10. I only bought 1 handbag and 2 new shoes (for work purposes) this year. I need to buy more next year ;p
11. I have a foster child, one small thing that I always want to do before I die.

I can say that I don't have any new year resolutions, I'm bad at doing it so I better just to let my life flow like it always has been. Though I have some things that I wanna get or do in 2011:

1. First thing is get a new and better job and career this year!
2. Be more thankful and be more closer to God. Though it sounds so subjective, but the point is I need to promise myself not to complain about my life and be less selfish. Think of others whose life is less fortunate than myself.
3. Buy a macbook. if I get a new job.

Cuman engga tau mesti prihatin ato engga ini dolar aussie naek terus, malah parity terus sama US$ hehehhee (tertawa di atas penderitaan orang indo) secara kalo pulang indo sekarang, saya berasa miliuner (super hiperbola) bayangin dong bawa duit $200 ke indo bisa jadi hampir 2 juta. hihihihi berasa jutawan khan?

Christmas edition, part 3

Boxing day - Sunday 26th December 2010

Boxing day is a day after Christmas day, where all stores, esp big department stores like Myer and David Jones are having big sales on the day.

Mr J woke me up at 4.30 am, cos we wanted to queue up to get David Jones' shopping vouchers (they're giving away $100 something gift cards for the first 50 ppl), 7 of us reached city by 5am and found around 10+ ppl were there already (!). It was pretty chilled and windy before 8am and only 2 of us were jackets, the boys even had to take turns to wear jackets haha !

As we predicted, there were some ppl that cut the queue and we had to argue with the management and some chinese ppl who cant speak english at all that cut the queue (lucky, mr J took photos so we got evidences and an Aussie backed us up). There were so many Chinese ppl queued up and didn't speak english, we even joked that they came here with David Jones visa thats only valid on boxing day hahaha and for seconds, we're confused where we are exactly cos no one speaks english.

After 5 hrs queuing, we got the vouchers but we were so tired and sleepy (some of us didnt sleep at all) and it was full of people, humid and I didn't know what to buy, we even had to queue for the elevator ! Mr J was the only one that shopped yesterday, me? nothing at all, I wasn't in the mood for shopping, I was sleepy, the weather was freaking hot (another 40 deg day), billions of people in 1 small shop, let alone the changing room and cashier. I gave up by 2pm, almost fainted with dehydration and got nothing at all.



Back home at around 3.30 pm, had a quick nap, we and another 2 friends went to church for the sunday mass at 6pm. Me and Mr J decided to have our own xmas dinner in Adelphi house, Hilton but we called up since the afternoon to book a table but turned out that they closed :( and we ended up having dinner in Sizzler haha, we were that hungry and craving for steak but didnt wanna risk if we went to Mt. Lawley or city areas, some restaurants were still closed. We behaved quite well that nite, both of us only had 1 plate of salad before our steak came and 1 plate of dessert each :)

~ And that's the end of my Christmas holiday, unlike others, had to start my work from today O_O ~

Christmas edition, part 2

Christmas day - Saturday 25th December 2010

Woke up at 8am (blaming the summer sun for waking up too early), called mom and pop, and when I got out from room I stunned for a while looking at the present on my doormat and I knew it for seconds it was from my man :) he just never fails to surprise me esp with his "voucher" for a 60 stress massage at a proper spa place in a high class Perth suburban (he later told me that he pities me, working like a dog n that's his treat) and a perfume gift pack.

I finally "realised" that I was going to church for 11.30 am mass but (again) had to be there 10.45 for choir rehearsal n it was 9.30am, I had to make tiramisu for christmas dinner with friends and was that ready for making breakfast but turned out that I ran out of rice, bread or instant noodle and egg :( well I used the eggs for my tiramisu and that's it !





Oh, everyone say hi to Gwyneth, our former's conductor's baby, who was the star of the day. She is the most quiet baby I've ever met, spent most of her time looking at the choir quietly for the whole mass and "choo chooing" with us, her temporary baby sitters.

The weather was just worse than yesterday,highest point recorded was 42 deg!
Me and Mr J went home, ready for cooking tonite's festive dinner with Dodo and Panda, it was so hot that even the centralised cooler for my house didn't do much for that evening.

Getting ready for Xmas dinner with ICYO fellas in bongki's house, and we cooked more food there with more sweat haha ! in total, we had 5 huge main dishes and all gone quickly *big grin* continued with 5 different desserts haha ! but twas a good gathering, we all had fun there and I'm so grateful to have ICYO here :)
