Sunday (Long weekend day 3)


Another Easter Sunday mass at usual place and we got KFC for our lunch. It was one massive order, 10 pieces chicks, 2 large chips and 1 "the famous" double burger ( it's a burger but instead of using buns, the used 2 breast chicken for buns).

See, how greedy we were? I could only eat 1 piece of chicken, lots of chips and half of the burger and I could also hear my tummy kept screaming for more chicken esp its skins but then my brain told me it was just my lust for the chicken. So I stopped my hands digging for more chicken on the box but instead, I licked my oily finger and be satisfied. It was one of the best feelings in the world.



And the story continued for our dinner. I had a farewell dinner appointment with my dearly friend, who returned to Indonesia the day after. Since it was public holiday and dearly Perth, as you know, is a dullsville so all good restaurants were (of course) closed, but then I remember about Grill'd, my favourite burger bar in Mt. Lawley and magically, they opened! She's never been there before, so it was all perfectly planned by God.

Because me and Mr J were still feeling full (damn you chickens !) we decided to order one burger and share it (but we of course still ordered large chips)



Oh, that night, me and best buddies planned to surprise Cindy, my dearly housemate and it was a big success. She was shocked, as we planned (: and I had a half piece of choc-strawberry cake, one small midnight munch.

beef rendang, cheese and wine

Hi all, I've been pretty busy with the choir practices and those sort of church events these couple of weeks, leaving me craved for homemade dinners and just sitting around my lazy chair in front of TV. Another thing that I've been craving this whole time other than an Iphone 4 is BEEF RENDANG, the one that one of the aunties at church once cooked for us. But then, too lazy to search around for the recipe and taadaaa my sister suddenly called me that she cooked rendang and yes at that time I promised my stomach to eat rendang ASAP. So, yeah I cooked it yesterday turned out to be really good and cook it again this afternoon and maybe tomorrow and the day after maybe ;p

Well oh well it also turned out that I put too much water on the pot so I made quite a lot of beef broth and I thought I had to make something out of it as well so I made the beef ball soup as well tonite :) While waiting for the soup to be cooked, I sat down and started munching the brie cheese and crackers and thinking of this could be better with the sparkling wine, so there I was having my favourite brie cheese and corn crackers with that superb sparking wine and I even had beef rendang for my dinner. It's a really nice chill out after not being able to relax at all after work for couple weeks.

tukang bakso

Well, tiap inget cerita ini selalu ketawa guling2.

Jadi ceritanya aku bikin bakso kuah gitu pake isi ga jelas apa adanya di kulkas. Trus sebagai pacar yg baik ya, aku tanya Jon mau ga buat besok lunch dprd dia makan bakers delight tiap hari bisa kurus itu perutnya *hihihi*. Trus dia liat tuh di panci kayak apaan bentuknya itu sup bakso.

Jon: Wah hebat kamu bisa bikin bakso beginian - > muka polos banget sampe amazed liat bakso2 di panci.
Me: hah? ya gampanglah bikin ginian, pake aer aja sama royco jadi *tipe cewe yg bego masak*
Jon: lho seriusan? trus bikinnya gimana kok hebat banget kamu? jualan bakso aja kamu tiap ari
Me: *geer* lho kamu khan belon coba gimana tau rasanya ini bakso
Jon: hah ini baksonya gimana kamu bikinnya hebat banget kok kamu ga pernah bikin sebelumnya?
Me: *mulai curiga n ngerti maksud dia* ya elaaah maksud kamu bakso pentolnya itu bikinnya gimana?? hahuahauhauhahaha *ketawa ngejungkal* itu maaah ada teknologi yang namanya asian groceries trus dijual deh itu prepack jojooooon
Jon: hahahhahaha *ketawa berdua* pantesan kok hebat banget kamu bisa bikin begituan -> sialan

ya ampun nak nak kalo ke asian groceries belinya cemilan sama indomi doank sih kamuu

mending ..... daripada kerja

hihihihi jangan ketawa ya .... MEMASAK !
dulu paling anti disuruh masak skrg demen bangeet bahkan disaat harus bljr ielts *tapi bosen* akhirnya bikin oatmeal cookies deh.

Trus foto salad itu, pas lagi pantang daging kemaren paling demen bikin homemade salad begitu enak banget seger2, sehat lagi hihii.

Lah foto roti yg ada pisangnya itu, french toast pake honey and banana. Mantep dah soalnya di panfried pake adonan fresh cream n egg trus crunchy2 asin2 gurih tapi manis juga hihihihi.

Since this is Lent season and me, as a Catholic, have to give up something that I like. So, I decided to give up meat for this year, it's just something that I haven't done before, being a vegetarian for 45 days. You must know that eating vegetarian menu or cooking different vegetarian menus is absolutely killing my -already dying- cooking brain. I only know couple menus to cook that always contains tofu and tofu and mushroom and if someone opens my stomach it will be just tofus and some chinese vegies. I finished class at 8pm, got home STARVING like havent eaten for 2 days, looking at my frigde and AH HA i found fresh spinach and ricotta pasta and that's when brain suddenly awakes from the dead. I made this fresh homemade yummy pasta. I think this is my second best vegetarian food after agedashi tofu.

Ingredients:

Spinach & Ricotta agnolotti (dumplings) - mine was Remo pasta
Tomato paste - mine was Remo Tomato pasta and red wine
Oregano - cant live without it or Basil leaves
Fresh mushroom, cut into smaller pieces - I was using fresh white mushroom
A bit of feta cheese, crumbled

A bit of black pepper
A bit of sugar

How to cook:

1. Boil pasta until cooked and drain.

2. Use a saucepan, put the tomato paste first, sprinkle with oregano or basil leaves and black pepper and sugar. Wait until hot, put a little bit of water to difuse the paste and then the pasta, stir it well.

3. Put in the mushroom and feta cheese together, stir it well until cooked.

4. Then, ready to serve.

Finishing:

Sprinkle with oregano, parmesan cheese and in my case, the sweet chilly cream cheese. Teehee I'm a cheese person.

Trust me, I couldn't make pasta before, they always tasted so bad that I gave up cooking them. But this time, it is realllllllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyy gooooooooood like the one you have in an Italian restaurant. Next time you make pasta, use tomato sauce and herbs.

My agedashi tofu and agedashi mushroom isn't that bad as well. trust me, I'm getting better. Ask Jon. teeheee

Selama hampir 4 tahun tinggal disini, ada donk namanya perubahan apalagi perubahan di dalam dapur alias memasak. Dulu pas di sby, wuih jangan bilang masak, masuk dapur aja emoh emoh jijay berbawang gitu trus gimana gittuuuu iyeek lah pokoknya. Sampe sini, setaun pertama juga engga nyentuh dapur khan ada cece kos yg masakin enak dah pokoknya. Trus sejak pindah rumah sendiri, terpaksa harus masak. Trus ya dari pindah itu sampe skrg, masakan yg bsa aku bikin ternyata *setelah diitung2 ama jon dan aku* hahahha engga nyampe 10 ! parah ga sih gimana ntar kalo merit ya hahahahahahahahaahahaha

Ini dia daftar masakan yang GA pake bumbu jadi alias bumbu instan :

1. Teriyaki chicken - hehehhe ini ga pake bumbu jadi lho dan rasanya asep emang. resep dari mendi.
2. Daging sapi cah ga jelas - karna ga ada bumbu pastinya, liat aja di lemari dapur, campur semuanya dan rasanya juga enak kok hahaha.
3. Mi pangsit - huehehhehehehe ajaran mama
4. Pangsit goreng - dipisah donk sama mi pangsit biar tambah banyak listnya hahahha
5. Udang goreng mayonaise - yaaa yang kaya di resto gitu *bangga norak*
6. Kentang panggang ga jelas - kentang di potong panjang2, di tuang susu telor cheese isinya terserah apa adanya kalo ada bacon ya bacon, adanya ham ya udah gitu aja tapi enak lho ternyata hahahha
7. Makaroni schotel - dari nol lho bikinnya resep asli dari jaman baheula, aku ga pernah suka yg bumbu instannya hueeeeeeeeeeeeeeek yucckkky banget rasanya ga ada gurih2nya sama sekali.
8. Ayam goreng sweet chilli - makanan sukaanya jon, di ajarin jon juga hahahhahaha
9. jus tomat - biarin week hahahaha
10. Sup ayam - isinya cuman swirilan ayam, wortel, erten dan kuah dari chicken stock hehehehe
11. Semur daging - tapi bawangnya di potongin jon n abis itu dibuang semua hahahha cuman makan kalo lg ngidam n mood soalnya pake bawang
12. Spageti versi mama - cuman bisa makan spageti versi mama hehehe fussy eater saya.
13. Krupuk - ini tinggal di goreng sih tapi butuh skill lho nggoreng dan angkat krupuk biar ga gosong hehehhe satu rumah cuman aku yg punya skill goreng krupuk *bangga parah* tapi ga penting sih tapi aku paling doyan lho makan nasi sama krupuk tok. parah jadi pengen sekarang
14. Terang bulan ato martabak manis. Ini penemuan paling hebat wendy !

Weeetss 12 lho hahahaha tapi aduuh ampun deh kalo soal bikin2 makanan mending bikin media release aja *eits ga juga ding*, paling ga napsu kalo liat dapur dan masak ! indomi masih enak kok. Semua ini berkat mama saya yang sabar melihat saya memasak dengan kaco. Semoga list ini nambah jadi banyak setelah beberapa taun lagi waa aku mau suami koki ajaa

ber-quality time

Ya begitulah karna saya sudah sibuk, gedubrak sana sini dan jarang ngafe jarang minum utopia si jon pun nyadar kalo saya butuh ngafe muahahha. Dia dgn baeknya pulang kerja dr arah winthrop situ rela jemput aku di rumah *vic park lho* trus anterin ke uni biar aku ga nyetir kakakakaka. Pulang kelas pun di jemput trus di ajak makan dan ngafe. YEAY. Pengennya sih makan Ohnamiya tapi berhubung lagi pengiritan dan aku pengen banget makan taka (6 bln ada kali ga makan itu) akhirnya jon pun mau ke taka, pdhl biasanya males bgt ke city trus cari parkir.

Sampe sana syoking pink harga nya naek 30 sen (pelit paman gober pdhl taka yg cuman 5$ naek jd $5.30 hahahha), ya rasanya sih biasa aja ya ga berubah emang hahahhaa, ga ada yg spesial sih yg sampe harus di critain gitu. Abis itu kita ngafe di King St cafe *wink wink*, naek mobil aja muahahahahha dingin abes pol seh kmrn dr taka ke dpnnya miss maud hotel aja aku mau jadi es gitu gimana mo jalan ke King st coba. Gagagaggaga ternyata nyampe daerah sana parkirnya susah ampun parah muterin itu hay st n murray 5x ada kali smp jon bete ga dpt parkir. Abis dpt parkir dan jalan masuk gang king st kedinginan lagiii huhuhuhu cuman pake cardi tipis n pashmina + berstocking ria ya udah lah ya bisa apa. Sampe sana langsung mesti pesen banana baked cheesecake *droolssss*
tapi ya begitu kaya biasa ga pernah abis walopun share makannya, gede abes.









































Yaaak mata panda gitu kurang tidur hehehehe, rmbt ga di hair dryer *plg kerja langsung kelas*
Aduuh cafe ini suasananya asik deh, vintek vintek gitu hahahaha must visit place deh klo di perth trus liqournya jg mayan enak waktu itu nyobain n harganya mayan masuk akal (DITA pasti inget kejadian ini, abis dr 1902 muahahahha )

Intinya seneng deh walopun cuman dinner biasa dan ngafe bentar tapi itu menyenangkan hihihi jon baek deh, besok kalo ketemuan bawain bubble tea ya *maruk*.

After relying myself in whatever left on the fridge, fast food dinner, and microwave food for weeks; I actually had something that I cooked today thou frozen mini hashbrown and sausage is not my favourite meal for brunch.

another friday night date

Kali ini kita nyobain daerah cafe strips di Mt. Lawley (gara2 hari seninnya udah kesana bareng mendi n dita, trus jadi ngidam lagi). Kmrn malem sih dingin abis *dalam versi summer lho* plus kita uda laper berat jd tmbh berasa dingin aja tuh. Karna sepanjang situ parkirnya rada susah, jadi si JT parkir rada jauh dr cafe stripnya gitu trus rencananya mo jalan sekalian mo liat2 ada resto apa aja. Tapi apa daya, aku dah kedinginan, laper pula jadi setengah jalan maksa balik ke mobil trus muter2nya di dalem mobil saja hahahaha . Jam 8an gitu baru dpt parkir persis di dpn restonya, Tuhan emang baek kok biar kita ga kedinginan *stlh bete2 gara2 jalan rame parah ga bisa belok + susah parkir*

Kita dinner di Siena's pizzeria & cafe , itu juga gara2 kita berdua selama seminggu udah ngidam pasta abis2an langsung deh tancap pesen banyak hahaha. Price range pasta : $ 18- 28 , price range pizza : $18- 25 tapi mon-wed mereka pasang special price gitu bisa cuman jadi $11an saja !. Porsi makanannya sih banyak abis2an, kita pesen entree pizza aja udah kaya family pizza di all night's cafe gitu gedenya, trus pastanya sih jangan tanya, si JT coba abisin sampe eneg2 mau nangis katanya saking banyaknya. Aku coba abisin separo aja ga mampu, sampe di take away pun tadi aku makan lunch masi ada separo lagi buat dinner ntar hahaha. Boleh di coba lagi nih resto, tp mon-wed aja biar murah hahaha.

Abis itu, kita muter2 lagi naek mobil ke Planet Music n Planet bookstore, di situ tokonya lucu banget, ga biasa deh pokoknya. Lah, yang aneh laagi ya di dlm toko musik itu jualan baju n kaos2 indie gitu yg sangat2 lucu. Masak kemarin senin kesana, aku bli dress, lah kmrn ini dpt dress lagi *parah parah* tapi harganya ok jadi worth it bgt deh. Disana ya stg jam'an deh trus cao pulang lah.

Ya sudah begitu saja, jarang2 kita beginian, plg mentok ya utopia'an lah hahaha ato dinner di taka gitu.

ouch, what a day !

Someone from workplace got fired today and somehow I feel so awful knowing that Moho deserves a second chance ! Gosh, I just found out that I don't want to be a manager someday, I have no heart seeing other people that I know being jobless because I fired that person.

Btw, Moho still deserves a second chance. Really wishing Moho the best luck, Moho's needing it.

Anyway, I went to my one of bestest friends in Perth, Budy's 22nd birthday dinner and I was quite amazed that we are grown ups now ! We started college together back in 2005 and we didn't know anyone at first and day by day we started strenghtening our friendships, we started hanging out together, doing the assignments together, studying together. Time does really fly peeps, we all have graduated from uni, some got their perfect jobs, some are still struggling getting one, we have our own social life but we still help and care to each other. I just don't know where all these uni times went? It all seemed like a flash, time's gone in just a blink.

Thank you Budy for the delicious dinner and the priceless time being together. Seriously guys, we should hang out MORE !

My less than $2 lunch
















I've been craving for a full breakfast since, like, ages ago but due to the - uh so no no- price, I just never had it before. Well, yesterday I tried to make one for my lunch and it really really tasted good and it only cost me less than $2 [ you have to pay at least $10 to get one in the restaurant]

[there should be toasts and baked beans but yeah I didnt have any bread or baked beans, just leave it like that]

sabtu ini


Saya dan Jojon merantau ke jepang. hahahaha. hush. engga lah. Kita ke opening toko Japon (yang dulu di Subiaco), sekarang pindah ke North Freo, deketnya post office jojon, deket banget. Sampe disana ya muter2 biasalah, si Jon terkagum2 dan bangga sama Jepang2an gitu sambil megang2 tiap barang yang ada. Wendy? serem liat barang antik2 gitu mana byk patung2 gitu hiiiy. Karna hari ini openingnya, disediain gitu sake, Asahi beer, sushi, wine, champagne jadi ya lumayan menarik lah hahahaha. Yang bisa aku komen-in: Asahi beer? biasa aja enakan Heineken malah. Sake? hueeek kaya minum aer rebusan nasi yang udah basi. sumpah.



Perjalanan dilanjutkan dgn makan siang di Flip Side, di satu jalan juga di North Freo kalo ga salah di Stirling hwy. Ini cafe? restaurant? depot? cuman jualan burger sapi dan ayam dan vegie tok. Lumayan lucu sih cafe ini konsepnya, bener2 minimalist bule gitu dan lumayan rame lho, bule semua sih yg makan. Price rangenya: $9-$13 gitu dan kids sizenya $6.5. Kita sih perut Asia, cuman bisa makan kids size doank itu aja aku cuman makan 3/4 sisanya ke jojon hahahaha. Oh ya, disini yang mantep sih thick cut chipsnya. Enak bangeeeed trus bisa milih dippingsnya gitu. Trus hebatnya lagi, tadi chipsnya sisa trus di take away gitu dan setelah beberapa jam masi crunchy dan enak. chips yang hebat.



Abis itu kita ke Claremont, cuman liat2 aja secara disitu semua harga ga terjangkau buat kasta kita. Pas baru sampe disana hujan deres lebat dingin ampun. Jadi pas kita liat ada kayak gang gitu, kita masukin aja buat berteduh. Di dalemnya gang itu banyak toko2 lucu gitu, salah satunya itu foto diatas. Toko ini jual barang2 super duper lucu tapi ya itu sayang harganya lumayan mahal2 *ukuran kita* kayak sempet spent waktu lamaaa banget, satu2 dipegan2 dan diliatin ga mau di lepas hahaha tapi ya sudah apa boleh buat, dana tak terkecukupi. Di Claremont, bener2 cuman masuk satu toko, keluar lagi. Si jon sih cuman bisa bilang gini, " Ngapaen sih masuk Mimco lagi, percuma ga beli apa2 diliat doank, ngomel2 harga mahal tapi pengen trus udah keluar" hauhuahuahauahuahhahauhauha. Tapi situ suka khaaan pura2 bilang, " Woow, this is so cheap only $450, buy some now !" hahahahaha. Abis ujannya reda dan panas lagi, kita pulanglah. Tapi sempet mampir bentar sih ke Cottesloe Center yang sumpah isinya cuman woolies dan Harvey Norman dan beberapa toko kecil *kok bisa sih di sebut Centre, dr depan sih menipu*.

Yummy !


This is the yummiest fresh roast pork ever! If you live in WA, it's worth it to drive up to Chittering to try this. After not eating for a day yesterday *it was the adrenaline, i'm not in diet* ; this roast pork seemed like a 24 carat diamond for me. It was crunchy yet melted on the mouth and nothing more I could tell but YUM !!!!!

Saking ngidamnya sama terang bulan ya ( dan kalo ada yg jual pun mahal bener !) jadinya aku iseng2 aja cari resep terang bulan di google trus syalalalalalalaaaa

ternyata pas udah jadi, ya ampun sampe netesin aer mata *lebai see* sampe jingrak2 telpon mama hahaha pamer donk. huehehehehehhe. bagi yang mo peseeen ..... boleh tapi ga jamin rasanya bakal sama lagi huahauhauhau.

Kemajuaaan bagi wendy... ya ampuuuun .... sampe masi ga percaya ini hahhahah bisa juga makanan jadi di tangan wendy ini

Homemade chicken and vegie soup

Soup is really not one of my favourite food ever, however having homemade soup in the winter is just homey for an overseas student like me. This is my favourite homemade soup *ever* since it is really easy to make and simple and yummy. All you need is only chicken breast/thigh, the vegies that you like, water, salt and pepper.
